Rouen, France

With 2024 marking 80 years since the D-Day Landings, Rouen is also an excellent base from which to pay tribute to the past. It’s the perfect excuse to visit an underrated travel gem, combining stunning medieval architecture in the city’s old town, epic mountain scenery, incredible shopping, and a vibrant cultural scene.
Stay in Florence, where the superb The Westin Excelsior, Florence is set on the banks of the Arno River, before following the Tour two-and-a-half hours to pretty San Marino.
